Vinyasa YOGA

It can be very beneficial to have a regular yoga asana sequence that does not change for a period of time, for example Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. This allows the practitioner to observe the openings that take place in their body and mind through the daily practice of experiencing the same asanas with awareness to those changes that occur.

The balance between a set yoga asana sequence over time would be to then explore different sequences that allow other parts of the body to open. Practices to balance this would to continue with a dynamic, energetic yoga practice as well as a static, still practice such as Yin Yoga. This results in more connections to the mind and body that may not have been accessed during the practice of set asana sequence.

Vinyasa Yoga or Dynamic Yoga is a moving practice which builds strength and breath control through explorations of different sequencing of postures. The variety of asanas allows the practitioner to awaken different energy connections between mind and body.
